My story since HS: Writing about oneself has to occur every fifty years or so. Here goes. My favorite class at Arlington High School was drama with DKM, who has passed on. My second and third favorite were English with Miss Harrod and senior choir. Now the best part about those classes was that I shared the experience with a wonderful young woman, Kristine Wolter. After high school she attended Iowa State for a year and then I convinced her to join me at Michigan State. After we graduated from MSU we were married August 31, 1974 and have had 47 awesome years together. Life keeps getting better.

I attended the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago and graduated in 1978. Internal medicine residency was at Lutheran General in Park Ridge. I did a GI fellowship at Hines V.A. I went into the private practice of gastroenterology in the western suburbs, in July 1983. After 35 years in practice I am now retired. Kristine and I have two children, Marcus and Kaitlin. Marcus married Jessica and we are blessed with 3 grandchildren, Gabriel, Henry and Margaret.

Kristine worked and supported us through medical school and beyond. She worked at Marshall Fields on State Street. Her most famous position was manager of the Walnut Room. Kristine retired from Fields when Marc was born and did volunteer work related to our kids and church. She was soccer mom, picture lady, Olympic Day coordinator, den mother, girl scout leader, Sunday School teacher and served on several boards.

We had some special family vacations over the years and the favorite pastime has been laser sailing. We both served in our church choir for many years which was a profound experience. We are now involved in healing works of the Spirit. Our life together has been a great spiritual journey, an amazing gift.

My story since HS: Favorite classes at Arlington include Drama with DKM, English with Miss Harrod, and Senior Choir. It was a Wonderful school wasn't it? After high school, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State in 1974. A few months later, I married Jerry Sublette, my high school sweetheart. As he began the long process of becoming a Doctor, I worked in the restaurant division at Marshall Fields, eventually managing the Walnut Room, home of the great Christmas Tree. Later, I became the store Operations Manager.

When Jerry started his practice in Gastroenterology, we had our son Marcus and our daughter, Kaitlin. We moved from Arlington Heights to Glen Ellyn. Marcus married Jessica and we are blessed with 3 grandchildren, Gabriel, Henry and Margaret. I did volunteer work related to the kids, church and community. I was soccer mom, picture lady, Olympic Day coordinator, den mother, scout leader, Sunday School teacher and served on Boards, including one for youth choir. We had some special family vacations over the years and we enjoy laser sailing. We were both in our church choir which was a profound experience. Jerry and I are now involved in healing works of the Spirit. Our life together has been a spiritual journey, an amazing gift !!
