Comment:
I am so grateful for the time I spent at Arlington High School and for the overall high quality education and personal devlopement I experienced. I completely concur with opinions written by Mike Micek in his excellent comments, and in the eye of my memory, our years at AHS were like "Camelot". It was a special time and this was a special place. We had pride in our history and excitement for the future. I thank all of you, my fellow Fighting Cardinals, classmates for what you did to make it that way. If any of you read this and remember me, make contact please I'd like to talk with you. As a student I got by but, in friendships, social activities and school spirit I excelled. I remember how much I loved, the spirit of friendship I had with my group of pals, Homecoming activities, playing Football particularly in 68/69 with Undefeated Varsity and Undefeated/ Unscored upon JV, 2 years of Band, being in Plays and watching others of you perform in your arts, the Excellence all our sports teams, Wrestling I wasn't good but my friends were exceptional, I enjoyed it (thanks Mike Weber for the introduction), watching the womens drill team (Coronets? Right?), noon music in the cafeteria, Sloppy Joe's, rocking the house at Pep Rallies, our Cheerleaders and all our School Spirit, Jimmy's Red Hots and just being part of it all. We had good teachers that supported and pressed us. I have many who's faces I remember but names have faded. Most. Are gone now but Thank you Mr.Murphy DKM, Miss Trad, Mr./ Coach Fiedler, Mr./Coach. Cutlip, Mr. Clark. Many Blessings to all and Let's work to Heal our Planet and to take care of eachother. |
