John Bradford "JB" Ritchie

Blues Hall of Fame guitarist, J.B. Ritchie, passed away November 23, 2021 at the age of 69. He is survived by his mother Marilyn Riley, brothers Geoff \& Jerry Shervey, an aunt, two cousins, one niece and one nephew. He will forever be loved and missed by many dear friends, especially his ex-wife Leslie Paulsen, Paul Parello Sr, and Glory Taylor. J.B. began his professional career with the Liquid Chrome Blues Band, performing throughout the midwest. He was honored to play at many notable places, including The Chicago Blues Festival, the Aragon Ballroom and Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago. J.B. was respected and admired by his fans and fellow musicians alike. He was very generous with his time and talent, playing many fundraisers. He was also generous with his stage and enjoyed mentoring and showcasing new talent. J.B. was proud of his Cherokee heritage and supported Trickster Gallery and Native American organizations. J.B. was also a descendant of William Bradford, the Governor of Plymouth Colony.
